You, Adriana, and Chaos carefully sneak into the hall where you were supposed to be like, a while ago.
There's a human... unicorn? No that's not right those aren't real. Well there's a human-ish person stepping away from in front of the crowd. Probably some important staff member??
You think you missed an important speech, but hopefully if it was that important you'll get the gist of it from other people. Hopefully... Well, for now you take a look around and see what other people have joined the school this year.
You spot a familiar halfie-mer. "Oh hey, uhhh," she seems unsure what to say. You think they may have seen you and Chaos disappear into thin air. That's kind of awkward. She introduces herself as Lana, and you sidle to another new face before things get more awkward.
You hear a loud wheek and look down to see... uh. Literally a guinea pig? Just chirping around. Maybe they're... a were-guinea pig? And can turn into a person? They show no signs of doing this, but one can never know for sure... You carefully walk around them.
There's a few dryads just milling around. You recognise the largest one from the front gate, he introduces himself as Phil. The purple one, a chilli-dryad, you know from Mylenor. "Hey Gena, didn't know you were here too." Despite growing up in the same town and having seen her around a lot... you don't remember her name. Why do you keep walking from one awkward situation to another...
The last dryad introduces himself as Ballade and is just super excited to be here.
You see a really cute human holding a really cute rabbit. Oh, your poor heart can't take this! You ask to pet the rabbit, and the human introduces herself as Silas, and introduces the rabbit as Cloey. You wish you had a rabbit...
There's two myria arguing loudly while a weird... sheep thing... tries to stop them. You keep walking by quietly.
Looking at you as you wander is a half scaler but your not quite sure what the other half is exactly, you think she's half mimic maybe? The other alternative seems just too unlikely... while you're pondering this she appears to be judging you, oh gosh you hope you haven't been staring while thinking about this, oh no. You make a flustered noise and she simply calls you cute and moves on.
Embarrassed, you don't quite look where you're going and walk right into a short human, whose white hair has a purple streak and whose face has a bad attitude. She shoves you back, "Watch it!" she grumbles before stalking off angrily.
You are never going to remember all these names, and wish you were a perception mage instead of a time mage. You think they probably have magic that can tell you somebody's name. Man. Imagine being able to magically evade that awkwardness.
There's a lot more people you didn't even get the chance to meet, but it looks like everyone is milling out of the hall, and going to do... other things.
What now?
